Fine dining can get expensive, but with restaurant weeks popping up all around Virginia including lunches for $10 or less, you can get upscale meals without spending a fortune. Discover Virginia’s delicious foodie scene during Restaurant Week in the following cities for a fantastic, affordable meal that benefits nonprofits and local charities.


Williamsburg Restaurant Week—January 21 – 31

Details: Pre-fixe menus at select restaurants, serving breakfast and lunch. Prices vary at each restaurant.

A Few Participating Restaurants: Blue Talon Bistro, Riverwalk Restaurant, Craft 31, Waypoint Seafood & Grill, and Tuscany Ristorante Italiano. Follow www.WaraRest.com under “Events” for complete listings closer to the start date.

Metropolication Washington Restaurant Week—January 14 – 20

Details: Many Fairfax County restaurants are part of the Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week. Three-course brunch or lunch for $22, three-course dinners for $35.

A Few Participating Restaurants: 2941 Restaurant, Founding Farmers Tysons, PassionFish, The Capital Grille, Trummer’s on Main, and TRIO Grill.



Alexandria Restaurant Week—January 18 – 27

Details: Features restaurants in Old Town, Del Ray, and the West End of Alexandria. Cost varies from $15-$22 per person lunch to $35 three-course dinner menu.

A Few Participating Restaurants: Gadsby’s Tavern, Vermilion, Blackwall Hitch, Virtue Feed & Grain, Hen Quarter, Live Oak, and Vola’s Dockside Grill.

Newport News Restaurant Week—January 12 – 26

Details: Enjoy a two-course lunch for $10 or $15, or make reservations for dinner options that range from $20 to $30 for a three-course meal.  As restaurants sign up to participate, their menus and other information will be added to the official Newport News Restaurant Week website, so check back often for updates.

A Few Participating Restaurants: Circa 1918 Kitchen & Bar, Fin Seafood Restaurant, Kitchen 740, Al Fresco Italian Restaurant, Burger Theory, and Second Street Newport News.

Virginia Beach Restaurant Week—February 18 – 24

Details: Breakfasts starting at $5, two-course lunches start at $10 and three-course dinners from $20-$35. Over 90 restaurants participate in the Virginia Beach area.

Details: Restaurant week in Harrisonburg will feature the popular Taste of Downtown event, as well as collaborations between local restaurants, food tours, and more.

i see the state of Va still ends at Roanoke ….how very nice you you to include the WHOLE state
