Big name concerts coming to Virginia in November

There is no shortage of big name musicians coming to Virginia during the month of November. From major country acts to the biggest names in rock and R&B, catch your favorite artists and discover new ones all over the state.

In Richmond, you can catch many artists at The National including the Drive-By Truckers (Nov. 10 and 11), indie artist Ingrid Michaelson (Nov. 12), the Chris Robinson Brotherhood (Nov. 15), ska band Reel Big Fish (Nov. 16), and one-man jam band Keller Williams (Nov. 26).

Country music icon Garth Brooks will have four shows at the Richmond Coliseum (Nov. 11-14) and on Nov. 23, R&B artists Maxwell and Mary J. Blige will perform for fans.

The Broadberry will host alternative rock band Cracker on Nov. 19 and American blues artist Joe Bonamassa will perform at the Altria Theater on Nov. 23.

The “Queen of Bluegrass” Rhonda Vincent will perform in Hopewell at the Beacon Theatre on Nov. 12.

Charlottesville’s Jefferson Theater will host the Chris Robinson Brotherhood (Nov. 10), Wild Nothing (Nov. 16), the Hackensaw Boys (Nov. 25) and Ricky Skaggs (Nov. 30)

Country artist Cole Swindell will play at the Norva in Norfolk on Nov. 11.

The Birchmere in Alexandria will be bringing Herman’s Hermits (Nov. 20), Patty Griffin (Nov. 21 and 22) and the Brian Setzer Orchestra (Nov. 26) to the stage.

American folk rock band The Avett Brothers will be in Roanoke at the Berglund Center on Nov. 18.

On Nov. 20, the Harvester Performance Center in Rocky Mount will host Marc Cohn, who will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of “Walking in Memphis.”
