Admit it, chocolate in most any form is acceptable. In Virginia you’ll find at least 57 craft beers that are either centered around chocolate or have detectable chocolate notes. Most are available in limited quantities and are seasonal. UPDATE: Most likely these seasonal brews are out-of-date since this article was published, but the breweries are still there, so if  you are attracted to a crazy-sounding beer title, chances are they’re whipping up a batch of something great this season too!

I live in Rocky Mount, Virginia. I can highly recommend Boot Leggers, we love their food, service and atmosphere. Our local beers are also spectacular Cheeky Monkey and Coco as well as the wheat from Callaway Brewing. All worth the trip to see us and try them out.

The Spottswood Stout at Shenandoah Valley Brewing is awesome! They are a small brewery but they make great brews.
