Elizabeth says:

We love Virginia for their Inns and B&B’s. My husband’s family lives in SW Virginia and we visit there often. We stay at one Inn in particular on the New River Trail, can’t remember the name of it, but it’s so beautiful, peaceful and tranquil. We’re from California and love it here but the East coast has lots to offer as well, it’s different and we like that.

Amy Densmore says:

The Inn At Warner Hall, in Gloucester, NEEDS to be on this list! It was George Washington’s great, great, great grandfather’s house (whew) and is the most gorgeous inn I’ve ever experienced. The owners are fantastic and the food…to die for!

Leslie Kidd says:

Please check Belle Grove Plantation at Port Conway in King George. Birthplace of President Madison. Absolutely beautiful, the inn keepers are delightful, they are are extremely knowledgeable about the plantations history, the food is excellent. Have been there several times, never disappointed.

Jackie says:

You left out the Spring Grove Farm B & B in Appomattox, VA.

Virginia henson says:

Check out the Jacob Swartz house in new market. Outstanding service and beautiful scenery.

We love Inn at Willow Grove. The property is gorgeous and comfortable. The restaurant and pub are awesome. Great vistas and the best service ever make this a completely pampering romantic and restful getaway. We enjoyed a fantastic anniversary weekend there recently and cannot wait to return!

What about The Inn at Little Washington one of the few five diamond inns in this country?

The Inn at Montross is a gem! Spent our honeymoon there ages ago. Then our 25th anniversary. Also had our vow renewal there and friends recently held their wedding reception there. Don’t overlook smaller places!
