As Virginia Wine Month rolls along through October, your choice for dinner wine, party wine, unwind wine, and any other wine time should be Virginia wine.

To truly appreciate the sweat, tears, and heartache that sometimes goes into making award-winning Virginia wine, be sure to catch “Vintage: The Winemaker’s Year” on PBS. It’s interesting, especially as a Virginian, to see the aerial views of the grapes lined up against mountain backdrops, hear the tales of long-time Virginia wine makers like Gabriele Rausse and Luca Paschina, and put faces with some of the newer wineries.

Upcoming Broadcasts:

  • WCVE Richmond PBS October 7th at 9:30pm
  • WHTJ Charlottesville PBS October 7th at 9:30pm
  • WHRO Norfolk October 7th at 9:30pm

Vintage will also be shown November 4-7 at the Virginia Film Festival in Charlottesville (tickets on sale October 8).
