Stunning Southwest Virginia

by Casey | Posted on September 18th, 2012

Fall is a brilliant time to visit Virginia as 15 million acres of foliage burst into color. Fall color creeps west to east across Virginia, so if you’re itching for fall now, southwest Virginia is the direction you want to go. Let these photos show you why and then go to Virginia.org/Fall to plan your great escape.

What beautiful pictures you have! I love the scenic pictures, but I think my favorite is the back of the dragon. It looks very cool, I would love to drive on that road. My family and I got a Newport Beach vacation rental over the summer which was really cool, but I would really enjoy expanding our horizons and checking out some of the other places you mentioned on here. The meadows of Dan and the Powell Valley overlook look especially amazing. Thanks for sharing, I look forward to reading more in the future!
