Good Earth Peanut Company display at Skippers Welcome Center

Good Earth Peanut Company display at Skippers Welcome Center

Should you be traveling into Virginia from North Carolina via Interstate 95, you’ll want to stop at the Virginia Welcome Center to say hi, use the facilities, and grab free peanuts from Good Earth Peanut Company.

Good Earth has an appealing gift basket loaded with their wares. If you’re enticed, head out to their store where you can enter to win it. They’ll pick a winner September 1, 2011 and ship the basket right out.

The Good Earth Peanut Company is located in an old general store which was also used as the local post office at one time. The building is over 200 years old. Good Earth was included in the May 2008 issue of Southern Living for their Chocolate Covered Peanut Brittle.  At the store, there are over 40 types of samples to taste,  including  a wide variety of their peanut products, jellies and Virginia hams.

All of Virginia’s Welcome Centers are supporting Virginia Farmer’s Market Month with special displays.
