Make your New Year’s Eve celebration a fun, safe one when you book a special travel package that includes the party and a place to crash.
In Luray, the Mimslyn Inn is offering an overnight with dinner at their fine Circa ’31 restaurant, wine, live Big Band and Classical Jazz, midnight fireworks, and breakfast on New Year’s Day. For you and your schnookums, the cost is $295 for a standard room or upgrade to a historic suite for $395.
At the Natural Bridge Hotel you’re invited to get your fill at their delectable buffet, jam with your party favors to the sounds of The House Band of Virginia, and welcome the New Year with a champagne toast. Rest well and enjoy the country breakfast before heading out. At a sweet $269 per couple, this is a historic treat you won’t want to let pass you by.
Check in early at The Founders Inn and Spa in Virginia Beach so you can freshen up for the five-course dinner and grand celebration. There’s no need to rush for breakfast; the buffet will be available until noon and you’re granted a 3 p.m. check-out to make sure you’re well rested. This night is a mere $299 for you two lovebirds.
If fireworks over Smith Mountain Lake sounds like a great way to usher in 2011, secure your room at Mariners Landing Resort. A midnight buffet and party with live music and champagne are lined up to help you send 2010 out with a bang. Couples, come one, come all for $235!
Richmond is alive with New Year’s Eve action. At the Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa in Short Pump, the night includes a DJ, live band, card tables, drinks, champagne toast, midnight confetti drop, party favors and prizes! Couples can stay for $279 (add dinner at Shula’s Steakhouse and your rate is $429). Singles can mix it up, too, for $95 (overnight not included).
The Jefferson, a historic icon in Richmond, has NYE fun from $250 to $380 per couple. Choose whether you’d prefer a simple wine and breakfast overnight getaway, a Southern bistro dinner, or a three-course farm-to-table dining experience at Lemaire to set the mood for your night.
Virginia’s most luxurious New Year’s Eve packages are built for all-out romance. At Maison Beliveau in Blacksburg, NYE stretches into a weekend stay. A daily three-course breakfast, wine, lunch, dinner … everything you need for the weekend has been included for $699 per couple.
The Mountain Rose Inn in Woolwine isn’t shy about breaking out their Valentine’s repertoire early either. It’s a single night stay complete with wine, cheese, roses, dinner at Chateau Morrisette, champagne and a four-course breakfast. The price variable is all in what size bed you’d like for the evening: $610 for a queen or $650 for a king.
