Admire stunning Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) glasswork in the new James W. and Frances G. McGlothlin Wing of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the only location in North America to host this exhibition. Eight of the pieces – leaded-glass windows – have never before been shown in the United States. The Tiffany collection is on display through August 15, 2010.

Interested in seeing Tiffany’s stained glass windows in and around Richmond? Ride along “The Beauty of Tiffany Glass Bus Tour,” hosted by the Valentine Richmond History Center on July 17th. Along the way you’ll see commissioned pieces at Ginter Mausoleum in Hollywood Cemetery, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and St. James’s Episcopal Church.

    If You Go:

    • Tiffany: Color and Light Exhibition: $12/child; $15/adult; children 6 and under are free (admission is free to the permanent collection at VMFA)
    • The Beauty of Tiffany Glass Bus Tour: $20-$23; children 6 and under are free

    Stay Awhile:
