  • Virginia Veterans Day Events and Memorials

NV09101305V_008.TIFVeterans Day is the anniversary of the Armistice signed by the Allies and Germans in 1918, which marked the ending of World War I. In 1954, Armistice Day was renamed Veterans Day to honor all veterans of all wars.

Virginia’s rich military history and iconic sites make the state a moving destination to honor those who fought for freedom. New exhibits and iconic national memorials, battlefields and museums will renew passions for patriotism this Veterans Day in Virginia.

Our deepest gratitude and admiration for the men and women of the United States military!
